How Does God Care For Me?

God is a loving Father who cares for His children and wants the best for them. He loves to put a smile on your face and fill you with His joy.
You may think that God doesn’t care when you go through difficulties, and you do not see the answers to your prayers.

The truth is that God does care and is at work in your life always, whether you discern His presence or not. Today, you may be asking, “How does God care for me?”

I have seen God use many ways to show me that He cares about me, especially when I am going through a difficult time. He uses a language I understand so that I can get His message of love loud and clear.

Are there times you wonder whether God really cares about you?
God cares for you and goes out of His way to show you that He does. I have found that God uses the following ways to communicate His care to me.

1. Meets My Needs

I have seen God meet my needs without my asking Him. Whether it’s a parking spot or a new phone, He cares about every aspect of my life no matter how insignificant I think it is. If God cares about the birds of the air and meets their needs, how much more will He meet yours?

“Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!”

Luke 12:24

God knows what I need before I even ask Him, and He desires that I live an abundant life full of His blessings.

2. Gives Me Rest from My Burdens

Burdens will always show up as long as we live on this earth.
That does not mean that we have to carry them when God has promised to help us with them.

According to Psalm 55:22, I am to give God my burdens and not worry about them or how I will deal with them. God has been faithful to me, and I have not fallen because of heavy burdens. I have given them to the Lord, and He has given me rest.

Maybe the burden you are carrying is an illness, debt, rejection by a loved one, a wayward child, or job loss. Give it to the Lord because He cares for you enough to carry it and lighten your load.

3. Listens to My Prayers

I used to think that God does not hear all my prayers, and I based this judgment on how many answers I received from Him. This was until I read Psalm 10:17 and realized that God hears all my prayers.

“You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.”

Psalm 10:17

You may mistakenly think that not seeing an answer to prayer means that God does not care. God never ignores a prayer; it is we who don’t recognize His answers. He cares enough to answer every prayer and give you the desires of your heart.

4. Gives Me His Favor

God’s favor has helped me meet people I would otherwise not have had access to. Many situations in life require God’s favor to resolve.

As the children of God, we are sure that He surrounds us with His favor at all times (Psalm 5:12).

As you go about your daily duties or interactions with others, ask God to give you favor with others. If you are going for a job interview or resolving conflict, you can be sure that God will be there to help you. By giving you His favor, He is showing you that He cares about you.

5. He Helps Me

Many times we need God to rescue us from harmful situations, and all we have to do is call out His name, and He will come quickly.

“Come quickly to help me, my Lord, and my Savior.”

Psalm 38:22

The times when I don’t know what to do, I lift up a prayer of help, and sure enough, I get the help I need. God can send someone or give you an idea to help you deal with the situation at hand. Be open to the ways He wishes to help you because they may not always be what you imagine.

6. I Am Sure of His Unfailing Love

What better way can God show you that He cares if not by loving you with His unfailing love. He loves you at all times despite your actions. My heart rejoices when I know how much God loves me and will never leave or forsake me.

“But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.”

Psalm 113:5

God always assures me of His love every day, and all I have to do is receive it into my heart. It can be hard to receive God’s love when you have been hurt by others who were supposed to love you. But God’s love is not like man’s, which is conditional. If there is anything that God will never take
away from you is His love.

Conclusion

Having a personal relationship with God means I get to discover all the ways He cares about my life and everything I do.

Ask God to help you recognize the ways He shows you that He cares.
As you read the Bible, pay attention to how God showed people that He cared for them. This will build your trust in Him and know that He always has your best interests at heart.
